March 12, 2024, Vientiane Capital, Laos – Multimedia & Technology Solutions Sole Co., LTD (MTS) made a significant impact at the “Closing Ceremony for the Groundwork for E-mobility Investment in Lao PDR Project” held at Mueangthanh Hotel. In a progressive step towards sustainable transportation, the ceremony marked the culmination of the project’s phase for laying the groundwork for e-mobility investments in the country.

The MTS team, led by Mr. Thinnakone Bouasavanh, presented the newly developed EV online platform, an initiative to promote the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) through enhanced awareness and regulation. This platform is a testament to MTS’s commitment to embracing green growth and advancing technological expertise in the automotive sector.

A Digital Leap in E-mobility

The EV online platform is designed to serve as an informative hub, integrating within the Ministry of Public Works and Transport’s website. It aims to enhance government and public understanding of EVs, encapsulating various facets such as legal frameworks, technological advancements, and environmental benefits. With accessibility in both Lao and English, the platform extends its reach to a broader audience, facilitating nationwide awareness.

Key highlights of the platform include:

  • A comprehensive knowledge base on EV technology, types, and benefits.
  • An interactive map detailing nationwide EV charging stations.
  • Legal resources section featuring a searchable database of laws and regulations.
  • A savings calculator to estimate the cost benefits of switching to an EV.

During the event, MTS also outlined the subsequent steps, including detailed training for Department of Transport staff to ensure efficient website maintenance and the process for securing an official website address.

Charging Ahead

The project aligns with the Lao government’s ambitious target of 30% EV penetration by 2030. By integrating EVs into the transportation sector, MTS aids in the government’s vision of reducing carbon footprint and enhancing public engagement with e-mobility solutions. The online platform www.evlao.la is poised to be a cornerstone for EV promotion and education in Lao PDR.

MTS’s involvement in this project underscores our capacity not only in web development but also in contributing to national initiatives that have a lasting positive impact on the environment and society.

As we move forward, MTS remains dedicated to delivering high-quality technological solutions and to supporting Laos on its journey toward a greener and more sustainable future.
